A drop of deliciousness: the essence of Italy’s iconic drinking tradition, decaffeinated. Inspired by the ambassadors of all Italian coffees, the ristretto, we chose not to imitate, but to roast our perfect version. Long roasted for body, short for brightness and fruit, this coffee is the culmination of all we explored in the emblematic Italian cup.
ORIGIN
Italians say coffee is all about the four Ms of miscela, macinazione, macchina, and mano. Crafting Ispirazione Ristretto Italiano Decaffeinato with respect for this Italian classic begins with the blend – the miscela. Nespresso Ristretto Decaffeinato is a sophisticated recipe of decaffeinated coffees - both Arabica and Robusta - that each lends its distinct personality to create this iconic Italian taste. We crafted it to reflect the elegance and excellence of Italian culture and coffee. On top of a neutral base of Brazilian Arabica comes a dash of Robusta from South India. It adds a kick to make Ispirazione Ristretto Italiano Decaffeinato our most intense tasting decaf coffee pod. The best of South American and East African Arabicas add a hint of a crisp fruit note to Ispirazione Ristretto Italiano Decaffeinato.
ROASTING
Slow split roasts of these decaffeinated Arabica and Robusta coffees develop all the aromatics and give Ispirazione Ristretto Italiano Decaffeinato its rich, roasted taste. The Italian barista’s second M is the macinazione – a fine grind helps create that iconic Italian taste – it’s intense and profoundly hefty on your tongue.
